An ongoing issue of Black Screens has been indentified during certain parts of version 1.0 of the game, most often encountered while playing various Story Missions.  

Please update version 1.0 of the game with the v1_HOTFIX_BlackScreen Universal file. (also attached to this post)

Overwrite the existing “CommonEvents” file in the game’s data folder to install it. Even if it has not affected you yet, it will happen near the end of Mission 15 without this fix being applied.  

Details: this happens when the game fades out a map for player transfer and doesn’t fade back in afterwards; the game is still running but the player cannot see anything to interact with the world.  

Solution: the fix works by fading back in the screen after 5-seconds of the player character doing nothing, i.e. no movement/button presses etc. This is a universal and cheap temporary fix, but should work regardless of where you are and/or what you’re doing.  

Conclusion: we will properly fix this in an upcoming update, but for now should allow you to continue the game from any point a black screen occurs by waiting in-game for 5-seconds as the game is still running in the background. You may need to click once in-game after this for it to take effect.
